Pallbearer - Foundations of Burden
- Woke up at a decent time, killed time until it was time to get ready to rendezvous with Brian, then I loaded my leftover pizza and beer into my backpack and headed to his place.
- We did our usual listening to music and chilling while we ate pizza and drank beer, he left to go pick up his Rx for blood pressure at like 3, came back at like 3.5-3.75 or so with some spicy cheeto puffcorn and a coke zero (which I’d requested). We had those snacks until Robert showed up, then shortly after Robert showed up we headed down to Bishop because he was hungry.
- After getting to Bishop Arts we went to Jaquval to get some burgers and beer, I also went next door to get an iced latte. The meal was good, me and Brian exercised moderation having one beer each, I think Bobby had like 2 glasses of rum, but he held his liquor pretty well this week.
- After finishing up at Jaquval we went to Barbara’s to see what was up, and it seems that we had like 45 minutes to kill because Mad Swirl started at 1945 and not 1900. So we went looking for a game store or something to kill time (Bobby’s suggestion). We ended up going to some place we’d never been to in a neighbourhood adjacent to Bishop Arts that felt extremely Mexican; not ethnically, but the lay of the land and the buildings themselves felt like they were actually part of Mexico proper. We found a charming black-owned TCG shop, but they didn’t have any board games or knick-knacks or anything, just TCG related stuff specifically. After that we ended up going to House Rules’ new location which was MUCH bigger than their previous spot. Apparently they moved at the end of last year so I was like 6 months late checking out their new spot. I ended up getting some dice and that was that.
- After finishing up at House Rules, we went back to Barbara’s Pavillion for Mad Swirl and I got on the list. I saw Harry there. Josh Wier apparently moved back to Dallas and I ran into him and Angel as well. The open mic itself was actually pretty nice, but I was pissed the whole time because they relegated me to dead last and by the time I read most of the guests had already left. In between the first half and the second half of Mad Swirl we walked to the smoke shop next door so Bobby could check it out, we also went to some fruteria so I could get a Topo Chico.
- After Mad Swirl was over, we rode back to Brian’s place where I found my laptop, I was distraught all day because I had forgotten it there and was basically carrying around my laptop for no reason at all all day. After packing up my laptop and double checking to make sure I didn’t forget anything else there I headed out for real.
- The ride home was really comfy, except for the fact that I got clipped by a branch on Rodeo Center. It was a pretty hard hit, though I didn’t lose my balance and I don’t seem to have a bruise or bump or anything. I can’t tell if I was genuinely concussed or not, but the fear of being so really pissed me off.
- After getting home I showered. Wanted to have a cheeky wank but I literally couldn’t stay hard for some reason. Ended up kneading the fuck out of my prostate until I came.
- After showering I went immediately to bed like a good boy (because I was fucking working a double tomorrow)
