Woke up today feeling pretty well rested and with a decent morale, but was listless due to the lack of direction/purpose. My original plan was to dick around on my computer until like 1500, then migrate to the Whistling Pig for lunch, then ride around the lake; but while I was still in bed I got texted by Ms. Becky who asked me if I could work today and tomorrow evening. Since I wasn’t doing anything today I decided to go to work today, but tomorrow I’m attending Mad Swirl with Brian so that’s NG.
While I was killing time waiting for my shift to start I played some ToME4 at my workplace and I also caught up on the gaps in my journal. Now I just need to update the gaps in my ledger. Looks like my dumbass has neither installed hledger on my laptop nor actually copied my ledger over, so that’s something I’m gonna have to work on before bed.
Also got a 16” philly cheesesteak pizza, subbed the meat for eggplant. Ate half of it at work, gonna take half of it home. Maybe can share some with Brian tomorrow, it might be prudent to eat at home and just drink outside. Alternatively, I could bring beer to his place too and we could save money in general (that’s starting to sound lke a good idea.)
Boss really doesn’t want me to use the WiFi at work so I’ve just been entertaining myself with whatever I have downloaded on my laptop and cell phone, which isn’t much, but it’s enough. Incidentally I’ve learned that my cell phone service provider doesn’t allow me to use USB tethering or hotspot sharing, looks like they do some kind of DNS blocking, I might be able to work around it with a little bit of research.
Man, I really enjoy Nanahira’s music. To this day listening to her work still gets me emotional.
